creating mischief

sideways thinking

round peg, square hole…

Early this year I decided to venture into the exciting world of working for moiself. I had no master plan (apart from making sure I would only work a four day week) and to simply go with the flow and see what opportunities bubbled up.

It’s sure been a fast flowing river but armed with my trusty snorkel, tinted goggles and flowery ‘thinking’ cap I’ve been fortunate to work with some wonderful people on some fascinating projects.

From digital consultation through to defining marketing and new business strategies… sprinkled with a spot of agency | client ‘match-making’, proposal writing and bungee jumping. Life has been far from dull.

But why have I called myself Creating Mischief? Well, in the world of great communications (in my opinion), it’s all about grabbing attention. The concept of ‘creating mischief’ is to be different, to be fun to work with, out of the ordinary, non-conformist, challenging the rules, delighted, surprised, intrigued…more Apple than PC. Values and an ethos that I believe I bring to any communication challenge I have the privilege of being invited to work on.

Being so busy has meant I haven’t had a chance to surface for air and sort out my own website until that is, I tumbled upon tumblr. The perfect temporary solution until I can grab some quiet time and create something a little bit special that reflects my mischief making antics.

So for now, my Linkedin profile will give you an insight into my colourful working past, twitter for random tweets and Flickr for random pics.
